Git#
Git is a free and open source distributed version control system designed to handle everything from small to very large projects with speed and efficiency. You can read more about Git at git-scm.com.
Note
A builtin version of git (v1.8.3.1) is also available on both ARC3 and ARC4 which can be used without loading a module.
The Git module on the HPC#
The Git module can be loaded into your environment with the following command:
$ module add git
The Git module is available on ARC3 and ARC4:
